There is good news for air travelers. Now they will be able to enjoy flying with a new airline Jetwings Airways. Jetwings Airways has said that it has received NOC to operate scheduled passenger air transport services. The airline initially plans to provide regional connectivity to passengers to various destinations in the North Eastern and Eastern regions of the country under the UDAN scheme. The airline said that Jetwings Airways is being launched to provide better service and comfortable travel to the passengers.

The Guwahati based airline has received all regulatory approvals and NOC from DGCA. Now this airline will provide regional connectivity to its passengers with premium economy service. For this, the company plans to introduce a fleet of modern flight deck turbo fan aircraft in addition to turbo propelled ones.

Sanjay Aditya Singh, Co-Founder & CEO, Jetwings Airlines said, “We are thankful to the Ministry of Civil Aviation for providing the NOC. We are working closely with DGCA to complete our preparations and formalities for scheduled passenger airlines operations. After receiving the NOC, we are working with full commitment towards becoming a reliable and regular airline. We aspire to serve our customers as an airline that has its roots spread across North East India and connects all important destinations here. There has always been a need in India for an airline operating within the country, which is basically from the North East. Jetwings Airways is ready to fly in the next few months, meeting this need.

Dr. Sanjeev Narayan, Chairman, Jetwings Airways said, “The government is committed to improving air connectivity by connecting regional airports through RCS. Due to this effort of the government, along with the economic development of any area, there has been a lot of growth in business. Along with this, the tourism sector of the region is also developing rapidly. We believe that under the UDAN scheme, we have a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of the North Eastern Region by improving connectivity and creating new economic opportunities.’
