The government extends the deadline for free Aadhaar card updates

<p>Aadhar card updates were necessary for people whose cards are 10 years old on March 15, and the government said that they would be free of charge till June 14. But as of right moment, the Centre has extended the cutoff date to September 14.</p>
<p>Before the deadline, it is necessary to maintain your address, name, and other Aadhar facts up to date. <p>According to UIDAI, maintaining an updated Aadhar is required as it aids in the verification of your identification evidence. “Please update Aadhaar for continued accuracy of demographic information,” the UIDAI said. To change it, provide documents of your identify and address.</p>
<p>Your Aadhar may be updated through the official webpage for free up to September 14 instead of the customary Rs 50 fee. By updating their cards, Aadhar holders may use the free service at https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/portal. You may make the necessary modifications after you get an OTP on your registered cellphone number.It would take 7 working days to update your Aadhar information. You must also provide any necessary identification papers, such as a passport, driver’s license, voter ID card, pan card, or any other document issued by the government, in order to update your Aadhar.</p>
<p>You must present a bank statement, utility bill, or other official document that verifies your current address if you need to prove your residence. Follow these procedures to change the information on your Aadhar card:</p>
<p>Navigate to the UIDAI website.</p>
<p>Select “Update Aadhaar” from the menu.</p>
<p>Input the OTP and your Aadhaar number.</p>
<p>Select the data that need updating.</p>
<p>Please submit the required paperwork.</p>
<p>Pay any processing costs that are required.</p>
<p>Press the “Submit” button after that.</p>
<p>You may follow the progress of your application by writing down the Service Request Number (SRN).</p>
